Ciao,
I’ve been thinking about the differences between AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) and AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots). AGVs follow fixed paths, like magnetic strips or tracks, which makes them reliable but less flexible. On the other hand, AMRs use sensors and cameras to navigate dynamically, adapting to obstacles and changes in the environment.
In my opinion, AMRs are more suited for facilities where layouts change often or where flexibility is key, but they might be more complex to implement and maintain. AGVs, while simpler, still work well in predictable environments.
What’s your experience? Do you see a clear winner between the two, or does it depend on the application?
